Petroleum Minister of Iran during aerial tour of Sardar-e- Jangal offshore oil field expressed his approval and satisfaction of work performed and experience gained in Caspian Sea oil and gas projects.
In his post-tour conference he said ". . . the nature end the extend of oil and gas activities in Caspian Sea is totally different from that of Persian Gulf due to deepwater and inaccessibility to open water, as a result the presence of reputable international oil company needed for investment and involvement in such complex project". He added "Sardar-e-Jangal is the only indisputable oil field discovered in Caspian Sea by KEPCO located in 700 meter deepwater".
