Because of the observation of drilling operations by Turkmenistan in the border areas and the old seismic lines in Golestan province and also to discover gas fields, especially the joint fields between Iran and Turkmenistan, two-dimensional seismic project in the northern regions of Golestan province and the Turkmen-Sahara border area with The length of 1250 km was defined.

 

In 2012, Dana Kish Geophysics Company was selected as the winner of the tender, and from the beginning of 2013, the seismic data collection operation began and ended on 12/31/2013. The final report on the processing of that information was handed over to the Geophysical Department of the Caspian Oil Company. The work of interpreting the project's information has started at the end of 2013. In 2014, the first phase of analyzing the data to determine the location of drilling exploratory wells had been completed.
