Major Achievements of KEPCO

Development of desired infrastructures for exploration operations in northern Iran by making: semi-submersible platform, 3 logistical marine vessels, dockyards and sea port plus supporting base for off-shore drilling.

Discovery of 2 billion barrels of oil “in-placed” in Sardar-e-Jangal oil field.

Added experience and knowledge of deepwater exploration activities in Caspian Sea and preparation for the ground work of the future development projects and extensive investments.

Increasing regional cooperation with Caspian Sea littoral states such as: marine environmental protection, safety and other subjects of concern.

Implementing environmental projects and plans regarding deepwater operations (oil spills and pollution control maneuvers).
