Mr. Gholam Reza Manouchehri the deputy director of NIOC in charge of engineering and development affairs has recently visited the Amir-Kabir semisubmersible rig and Caspian
multi-role marine vessels in Neka sea port.
During the visit many KEPCO board members and managers were present and explained the activities of KEPCO and its Caspian Sea operations to Mr. Manouchehri and other visitors.
Mr. Manouchehri said: "given the sophisticated technology required to carry on deep water oil and gas operations and the continuity and expansion of our activities delineated by the roadmap to reach new horizons, exploiting technical knowledge and financial backbone of venerated international companies are not avoidable".
Mr. Khatibi the Senior Management of KEPCO while explaining the offshore activities by KEPCO added that, what we are facing now, are the result of grueling effort and hardship carried out by our personnel for the past many years to become a member of exclusive "Deepwater Club" in oil and gas industry.
Mr. Osuli the Deputy Head of KEPCO Board of Directors elaborated further: "given the high potential of hydrocarbon reserves identified in Northern Iran, expansion of exploration activities outlined by the roadmap and significant infrastructures constructed in the past many years, grant us greater obligation and motivation to carry on our mission.
Recently Mr. Zangeneh the Ministry of Petroleum of Iran during his talk to Brazilian Energy Minister welcome the Brazilian companies including Petrobras to play active role in Caspian Sea oil and gas arena given their great knowledge and experience in deepwater.
