In a meeting between the CEOs of the KEPCO and the NIOC Exploration directorate, cooperation strategies to develop the operations of the oil industry in the north of the country were discussed.
According to the KEPCO Public Relations, Kamali, the managing director of the Khazar Exploration and Production Company (KEPCO), while explaining the activities of the KEPCO in the north of the country, referring to the plans of the NIOC pointed out the infrastructures in the north for exploration, production and development activities.
Kamali said to achieve the goals of the oil industry in the north of the country, activities including development, drilling and production of the exploration prospects should be considered, and regarding the experiences and good capabilities of the NIOC Exploration directorate, we welcome cooperation and synergy in these areas.
Emphasizing preserving Iran's national interests in the Caspian Sea, the managing director of the KEPCO stated that continuously and through various means such as development and updating of studies and concluding memorandum of cooperation with well-known companies to achieve exploration, development, and production in the Caspian Sea, is in line with the macro policies of the Ministry of Oil, and I hope that using the experiences and capabilities of other upstream companies in the oil industry, a clear horizon will be drawn in this area.
During the meeting, Fakoor, the managing director of the NIOC exploration directorate, referring the positive approach of Kamali's management and the efforts of his colleagues in KEPCO, said: KEPCO is the pioneer of the oil industry in the north, and a special look at domestic capacities and the expansion of cooperation with upstream and capable companies in the oil industry is one of the important factors in changing the new management approach in the KEPCO.
Mr. Fakoor stated: NIOC exploration directorate, with its experienced specialists and technical equipment in the fields of geophysics, geology, drilling and integrated technical and engineering services is fully prepared to cooperate with the KEPCO, referring to the history of cooperation between the two groups in the past
The managing director of the NIOC exploration directorate referred to the emphasis of the CEO of NIOC on the excellent supervision of this management for subsidiaries in the field of exploration, added: NIOC exploration directorate has a governing role and based on its structure and responsibilities, implements NIOC programs in exploration fields.
Fakoor Referred to the seventh 5-year development program and said: Dr. Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr, director manager of NIOC, is always following the activities and removing obstacles for development in the KEPCO, and therefore, we hope to provide comprehensive study plans in the field of exploration in onshore and offshore, and with the approval of the supreme council of exploration, this area will be focused on more than ever in the seventh development program.
In the end, Mr. Fakoor emphasized that effective measures should be taken both onshore and in the Caspian Sea and expressed wishes that according to the common goals of both groups in the northern part of the country, we will act in such a way that all activities will result in development and production of the Caspian hydrocarbon resources.
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, it was decided to form technical working groups and hold continuous meetings to specifically follow cooperation plans between two companies.
