The meeting regarding Golestan oil and gas drilling was held in provincial city of Agh-ghola in Golestan province.
The participants were Golestan governor and executive and decision making managements of the province and KEPCO executives. In the meeting Dr. Ali Osuli the managing director of KEPCO said: "After 1250 km of 2D seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation we are going to embark on exploration drillings to evaluate the commerciality of potential oil and gas production. The promising results lead to commercial production, which will be an important development for the prosperity and economic growth of Northern provinces. In the case of negative outcome, the reservoir is going to be used for gas storage. In both cases, we will be able to identify the regions geological structures accurately, which is a great contribution to our knowledge."
